Summer Closure Notice: 

  1. Please note that this daily Morning Playgroup will be closed on the following dates:
  • July 1
  • July 29
  • Aug 1
  • Aug 4
  • Aug 5
  • Aug 12
  • Aug 15

2. The Family Resource Centre will be closed August 18 to September 1st inclusive. Programs will resume on Tuesday, September 2nd.


For families with children from birth – 5 years. 

  • Please assess your child and yourself for symptoms of common cold, influenza, or Covid-19. If you, or your child has symptoms, please stay at home until you all feel better. Thank you for continuing to safeguard the health of everyone in our community.
  • Due to safety and group space restrictions, we are not able to accommodate daycare providers. Please note that the limit is one child besides your own child(ren).
Registration Info
  • Parents MUST register in advance to attend. Sorry, no drop-ins.
  • Families can register for up to two playgroups per week per family. You can book up to 14 days in advance.
  • Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
  • Closed on stat holidays or as noted otherwise (see dates above).

Walk & Talk – for Parents & Little Ones

Families with babies 👶 in strollers or carriers are invited to join us for a walk to enjoy the James Bay neighbourhood!
 
This is a free drop-in that will meet outside our front doors at 547 Michigan St. Rain or shine. Please check the weather before heading out and dress accordingly.

The Seniors Social Connections group meets weekly to share a light meal, social time including activities such as a speaker or games.

This group is a support to seniors who may be experiencing health concerns, isolation or depression, and seeks to encourage friendships and connections outside the group meeting times.

Between meetings, members can be telephoned by the facilitator or a program volunteer, if they request a reminder.

Advance registration required. Schedule subject to change – please get in touch for current schedule info.

Time: 1:00 p.m.—3:00 p.m.

Cost: Free; sliding scale donations welcome ($0 to $5).
