Seniors

The Project supports seniors (65 and older) to live independently in their own homes. Capital City Volunteers’ (CCV) Outreach and Direct Volunteer Services restrict their service to lower-income seniors (less than $35,000/year). JBCP Outreach and Better at Home services are not limited by income.

Below are the eligibility requirements for CCV and JBCP services.

** Outreach workers may make an exception to this requirement according to unique participant situations, at the outreach worker’s discretion and only with the agreement of another JBCP/CCV Outreach Worker. If this agreement cannot be obtained, the final decision regarding an exception is made by the Executive Director.

*** If Better at Home has capacity for new participants but the Outreach Worker of JBCP or CCV has no capacity for new referrals, acceptance to Better at Home is possible and will be discussed internally, recognizing that eligibility for Better at Home is not dependent on being a participant of JBCP or CCV or on having low income.

Since each person will have their own unique situation, please do not hesitate to get in touch to see if you are eligible in light of your circumstances.
