James Bay Community Project

James Bay Community Project is a non-profit community organization helping seniors, youth and families by providing counselling services, community support and volunteer services.

JBCP shares its building with several tenants providing services to the community: JBUPCC (Urgent and Primary Care Centre), LifeLabs, HerWay Home, and other independent providers of health services.

Due to the Public Health Orders relating to COVID-19,  The Project has updated its safety plan in the following ways:

  • Please do not visit if you feel unwell or are experiencing any Covid-like symptoms.
  • Mask wearing: while it is now a personal choice, please continue to be kind and thoughtful towards others. Prior to meeting with others in our building, we ask that you discuss in advance your comfort level on mask wearing and to kindly respect each others’ preferences.
  • The limits on the number of people permitted in various spaces in our building are removed.
  • Access to our programs is by pre-registration only. Proof of vaccination is still mandatory for program participation.
  • Visitors to our building will no longer be required to exit the building using the back door, they can exit through the front doors.

Enquiries can be directed to askus@jbcp.bc.ca or 250 388-7844 Ext 0.

Thank you for your understanding and on-going flexibility as we continue to navigate through these challenging times.
