Please note we will be closed March 24-28, 2025. Our programs will resume on March 31st.


For families with children from birth – 5 years. 

  • Please assess your child and yourself for symptoms of common cold, influenza, or Covid-19. If you, or your child has symptoms, please stay at home until you all feel better. Thank you for continuing to safeguard the health of everyone in our community!
  • Due to safety and group space restrictions, we are not able to accommodate daycare providers. Please note that the limit is one child besides your own child(ren).
Registration Info
  • Parents MUST register in advance to attend. Sorry, no drop-ins.
  • Families can register for up to two playgroups per week per family. You can book up to 14 days in advance.
  • Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (unless otherwise noted).

Each week features a different array of new-to-you apparel on sale. The store is restocked daily so you’re sure to find a great deal any time!

The Community Closet Thrift Store offers a great selection of clothing, accessories and footwear at a fraction of the price. We now also offer gift certificates!

Every week can be a long weekend when you kick it off with the Surprise Sale at the Community Closet.

Our volunteer team will be available to help you out with your next fabulous find. You’re sure to find a great deal whenever you stop by!

Baby Group

Fun and friendship for new parents and their babies up to six months old.

This is a free, informal discussion group with guest speakers on baby-related topics. The program runs for 10 weeks.

JBCP, Capital City Volunteers, Victoria & Oak Bay Better at Home, and the Community Closet will be closed today, Tuesday, February 4.
