James Bay Community Project is delighted to acknowledge the generosity of Harbourside Rotary in recently awarding JBCP a grant worth $5,000.00!
JBCP applied to Harbourside Rotary, requesting the funding to support low-income seniors and families in our community. The money will be used to provide increased food security via food hampers, grocery cards, and prepared meals to our participants. It will also be used to provide necessities such as personal hygiene items, as well as diapers and school supplies. The grant will also help pay for ways to aid families and seniors connect with each other while still isolated due to COVID-19 public health restrictions. These will include help with internet and cell phone costs, access to communication devices and services such as Zoom subscriptions.
The Rotary Club of Victoria-Harbourside has a proud tradition of making a difference to their local community. JBCP is grateful for this opportunity that will help build personal and professional connections between our organizations.
