The Ministry of Children and Family Development funds many of our family services and provides support to our Youth Clinic, which is also partially funded by the United Way.
VIHA provides funding to the Youth Clinic and assists our community services.
Funding for the JBCP Family Centre comes from:
- Ministry of Children and Family Development
- Health Canada – CAP-C (Community Action Plan for Children)
- Success by 6
- Times Colonist Raise-A-Reader Fund
- ColdStar Freight Systems (Food donations)
- Short term grants
- Donations and fundraising
We are grateful for the support of the MCFD, VIHA and the United Way, without which the James Bay Community Project could not continue to serve so many community members in so many ways.
We also gratefully acknowledge the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia.
All profits from our thrift store – the Community Closet – support programs at the James Bay Community Project. We appreciate your donations of clothing to the Community Closet, and your patronage of the store.
We also highly value and appreciate our many private donors who respond so generously to our annual campaign and who donate spontaneously throughout the year. Thank you!
